The Clerk is the recorder of all instruments required or authorized to be recorded in one general series of “Official Records” books. Upon payment of the statutory fees, the Clerk records and indexes a variety of important documents which in most cases are related to real estate.

Tax deed sales, which are open to the public, are held online through RealAuction. The sales are scheduled once or twice a month on Wednesdays, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The Clerk of Court accepts passport applications as an agent for the Passport Office of the U.S. Department of State. Once accepted by the Clerk’s office, the applications are submitted to the U.S. Passport Agency for processing.

The Florida Constitution provides for the Clerk to act as Ex-Officio Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. In this capacity, a primary responsibility of the Clerk is to record and index minutes for the Board of County Commission meetings.
