Land Available for Taxes
The list of Land Available for Taxes are properties which were offered, but not purchased, at a Tax Deed Sale. After 90 days, any person or governmental unit may purchase the land for the opening bid, plus omitted years taxes, as cited in Florida Administrative Code 12D-13.064(3).
The current month purchase amounts of the properties available for purchase can be found in the “Land Available for Taxes Information” portion of this site. These amounts increase each month due to accruing interest and omitted taxes. Also listed is an overview of properties currently available for purchase titled “List of Lands Available for Taxes”.
The purchase amount is payable by certified check, cashier's check or money order. Recording fees of $10.00 for the first page, and $8.50 for each additional page, and documentary stamps at 70 cents per hundred dollars are also collected. The recording fees and documentary stamps may be paid by certified check, cashier’s check, money order or personal check. At the receipt of the funds to purchase a property from the list of Land Available for Taxes a tax deed is issued as requested. Checks WILL NOT BE RETURNED UNLESS THE PROPERTY IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE.
