OCALA, Fla. (Dec. 22, 2021) – On Tuesday, Dec. 21, the Marion County Clerk of Court and Comptroller received notification from the U.S. Department of State that fees will increase for first-time applicants and renewals of U.S. passport books. Effective Monday, Dec. 27 the application fee to apply for a U.S. passport will increase by $20. Updated fees are as follows:
     
· New passport (age 16 and older) - $130
· New passport (age 15 and under) - $100
· Adult passport renewal - $130
     
Other charges for photos, expedited service, or rush delivery are additional service fees per application and will not be affected. Applications received before Monday, Dec. 27 will be processed at the current rates.
     
Passport services are available at the Marion County Clerk of Court Annex Building, 19 NW Pine Ave., Room 126, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
