David R. Ellspermann
David R. Ellspermann was first elected as Clerk of the Circuit Court for Marion County in 1996 officially taking office on January 6, 1997. Mr. Ellspermann graduated from the University of Georgia with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and from Rollins College with a Masters degree in Criminal Justice Administration. He has earned his designations as a Certified Public Manager and a Certified Clerk of the Circuit Court through Florida State University.
Mr. Ellspermann began his public service as a Law Enforcement Officer with the Ocala Police Department. He left OPD to become the Administrative Director for the Public Defenders Office and, immediately prior to his election as Clerk of the Circuit Court, Mr. Ellspermann served as the Executive Director for the Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office.
Mr. Ellspermann presently serves as a member of Kiwanis Club of Ocala and Marion County Historical Commission. His recent past service to Marion County included Ocala/Marion County Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors, United Way Board of Directors, March of Dimes Executive Board, CFCC Public Policy Institute and Central Florida Community College Foundation.
